Grandview maintains a food pantry to distribute and share with Johnson City residents in need. The food pantry is open Thursday mornings, 9:00-10:00. You can donate nonperishable food items to the pantry or welcome guests and distribute food to pantry applicants during the week.

Grandview supports the Cornerstone Village South Assisted Living and Memory Care facility just across University Parkway by providing a consistent and thoughtful presence each week. You can join to help lead Sunday morning worship service, play music for a Sunday morning worship service, or visit with Assisted Living and Memory Care residents through the week.

Grandview often helps with home and yard maintenance for the Interyear house. There are also opportunities to visit with the fellows, share wisdom with them, provide meals for them, and gather for coffee or games with them.

Rideshare

One way that Grandview seeks to extend our hospitality and engage the residents of Johnson City is by making rides available for people who would be otherwise unable to make it to Grandview. Join the driving team or ride along on a van to get to know our neighbors!

Family Promise is a local organization that provides housing and support to local homeless families. We funnel donations through their thrift store, provide healthy and hearty snacks for their day center, and do our best to meet the needs of families in their program.

Campus House at ETSU

Grandview partners with the Campus House (a campus ministry at ETSU) to care for ETSU students. There are several ways to get involved in this ministry, but right now we’re collecting ground coffee to fuel conversations on campus as their staff build relationships and strike up conversations with students. Campus House holds a weekly gathering with a meal, music, and creative Christ-centered storytelling as they share the love of Jesus with the students they encounter.

Appalachia Service Project exists to make homes warmer, safer, and drier for folks all throughout Appalachia. We’ve been a long time partner with ASP and are continuing to support however we can through Hurricane Helene recovery. In the fall we helped rebuild a home, and we’re committed to additional workweeks and service opportunities.
