In an amazing natural phenomenon called “canopy shyness,” trees in some forests grow in patterns that allow light to permeate the forest below. The whole forest can be healthy and grow together by keeping space in the canopy. This is the idea behind Canopy at Grandview. We need friendships and communities more than ever, but we have to make sure to have the right amount of space for everyone to stay healthy. Even as our Canopy groups keep us connected and growing together, they help to uphold the health of our larger community and city.
Our Canopies are groups of less than 12 people (up to 4 or 5 family units) who connect either via Zoom or with agreed-upon in person guidelines. Some Canopy groups have an age distribution that spans decades, some “do” things together, some just sit and visit, some study the Bible, some meet in their neighborhoods, and some find still other ways to share time together. Whatever your fancy, there is a Canopy group for you. Let us help you get connected or reserve a space for your existing Canopy so we can grow together, even while we keep some space.
